My bachelor's thesis dealt with the question of the relevance of tradition today, its relevance and usefulness for our society. In dynamically changing times, it is necessary to create and maintain traditions that are responsible and sustainable for us and the future. It was evident from data obtained by my research that, for example, the tradition of decorating Christmas trees is unsustainable in the long term. I try to point out this issue with my work and offer an alternative to the use of the obtained material, which can serve us for years.
The result is a three-piece series of furniture that offers the opportunity to use the waste from Christmas trees as much as possible. As part of the process, biomaterials research took place, which dealt with the use of tree parts that cannot be used for furniture production.
